Maria & Quentin

Oh. My.

Who knew a wet wedding could become one of your all time favourites.

When you have a stunning couple, combined with your love of people and the dramatic cornish coastline you can’t really go wrong can you?! …and these two NAILED it!

I arrived at Ludgvan church on the Saturday and eagerly awaited the arrival of the beautiful Bride Maria having not previously met! I usually always meet my couples before the wedding to chat through plans and put them at ease with what to expect so it was a tad different for me to have the Bride pull up outside the church and not know who was going to step out of the car. But just look. I absolutely love the shot I grabbed super quick as the car stopped with her gorgeous little face peeping through the window gap.

Following a beautiful ceremony with one of Maria’s bridesmaids even singing during the signing of the marriage certificates we all began to make our way over to Sennen cove after a few drinks from the fishing ‘ice box’ and some classic cornish cream teas.

Down pour number 1.

After only a little wait, Maria, Quentin and their wedding party all popped on a pair of wellies and marched down to the beach with me, completely unfazed by the drizzle - couples like this ALWAYS win in my eyes but what we managed to capture was an even bigger win. The stormy, misty seas created the most stunning backdrop and almost felt quite fitting with Quentin’s fishing background.

Downpour 2.

Luckily, the Bride and Groom could stay dry under the roof of the rustic styled bar while I snapped away but there were a lot of umbrellas flying around trying to get people in and out before the wedding breakfast!

Once we were done, the wedding party gathered in most cosy and quirky restaurant sat on the coast over looking the dramatic skies and seas below. With the beachy/fishing theme running throughout with named shells for each guest you could see how important the Cornish coast was to the Bride & Groom. Styling and colours really make a wedding unique and this wedding certainly had all the boxes ticked.

Maria & Quentin, thank you both SO much for having me at your super special day, I’m glad to hear you had a fabulous honeymoon! Here’s to the rest of your lives together as you embark on your latest adventure as husband and wife!

Barbour Life

A few months ago my lovely friend Abi from A Country Lady forwarded me a super exciting email asking if I could photograph the content that would run alongside her interview with Barbour for their #BarbourLife blog! Who was I to turn THAT down! So having arranged a date and made a plan to follow their brief we spent the day shooting at her yard then across the moors of the North coast to capture a real feel for what it means to be a country lady living in Cornwall. With 80% of Cornwalls’ perimiter being made up of coastline, we weren’t spoilt for choice but something about the north coast is always pretty spectacular, plus, this was a stone’s throw away so very much a favourite local spot for Abi.

It’s always so much fun documenting shoots like this and I absolutely love what we captured. To see the full interview, just head over to A Country Ladys’ feature on Barbour here.

Travel Diary: Marbella

After unpacking from Greece, I then re-packed and was off again to sunny Marbella for the most amazing hen-do ever with a particularly awesome group of ladies. With military organisation and an itinerary to rival most we spent 4 fun packed days that had us exploring the town, drinking & dining along the infamous Puerto Banus stretch, partying at Ocean Beach club, unicorn riding from our catamaran cruise, tanning poolside and OF COURSE drinking copious amounts of Sangria.

Here’s a few highlights from the trip but I won’t be sharing all because, well…you had to be there! ;)

Travel Diary: Greece

Back in August I had the absolute pleasure of heading out to Greece to photograph Amy & Dan’s beautiful wedding. We stayed in the most gorgeous Villa in Anavysoss not far from the town and beach front and with it’s own pool, bar, play area AND chapel we weren’t short of well…anything! Days were spent poolside, at the beach, we went on a boat trip to the most southerly Island off of Greece and of course, celebrated (and shoot) the most stunning wedding!

With temperatures of 34-36ºc it certainly was my hottest day working to date but it didn’t stop me having the most amazing week. So here’s a few of my holiday highlights to share with you all!
